Palatov Motorsport offers a wide range of products and engineering services for the electric and hybrid vehicle industry. Together with our development partners Rinehart Motion Systems, Remy, ContactScale, and others, we are creating a range of component technologies for the next generation of hybrid and electric vehicles. These include propulsion, drivetrain, and chassis systems that are designed to work efficiently as an integrated vehicle eliminating many of the compromises inherent in conversions, add-on, and legacy designs.

The services we offer include:

  • Complete suspension, steering, and chassis design
  • EV and Hybrid drivetrain design and integration
  • BMS and charging systems
  • Vehicle electronics design and integration
  • Prototype fabrication, testing, and development

Our growing list of standard and customizable products includes:

  • Uprights
  • Braking components
  • Suspension components
  • Integrated motor/transmission/controller units (coming soon)
  • Electronically shifted transmissions (coming soon)

We have designed suspension systems, chassis, and drivetrain systems for several clients and are developing a number of standard and custom products.

One of our current in-house development projects is the dp1/e. Based on the initial dp1 prototype, the dp1/e is a testbed for advanced controller, motor, and energy storage components. While the dp1/e itself is not intended to be a product that is offered for sale, the components developed and tested on this platform are available for integration into other projects. The dp1/e recently placed a close 3rd (out of more than 20 competitors) in the ReFuel time trials at the famous Laguna Seca racetrack, completing a lap of the challenging circuit in 1 minute 53 seconds - an average of 71 mph. Testing and development of this platform continues with the goal of competing in the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in 2011.
